Cargill Japan Limited. (“CJL”), in keeping with the objectives of the Personal Information Protection Act understands that personal information is a valuable resource that requires protection and has established the following privacy policy in recognition of CJL’s fundamental obligation to ensure the proper handling of this personal information.

1. Observance of the laws and regulation
   CJL observes the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws, regulations, guidelines and internal rules and shall handle personal information in an appropriate manner.
   
2. Acquisition of Personal Information
   When acquiring personal information, CJL endeavors to clarify the intended use of that information and shall acquire personal information using fair and legal methods.
   
3. Use of Personal Information
   Any personal information acquired by CJL will be used only for the purpose indicated at the time of acquisition and for related purposes within a reasonable scope as necessary but limited to the execution of business activities. In the event that any personal information is used in partnership with a third party or is entrusted to a third party contractor, the parties concerned will be supervised to ensure that the personal information regarding individuals is used in an appropriate manner.
   
4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
   CJL will not disclose or provide information to third parties without prior consent of the individual concerned, unless required by law.
   
5. Management of Personal Information
   CJL securely manages personal information and implement necessary information security measures to prevent the loss, alteration, leakage or unauthorized use of personal information.
   
6. Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use and Deletion of Personal Information
   CJL recognizes that individuals have the right to request the disclosure, correction, suspension of use or deletion of their personal information. Such a request will be responded to promptly in accordance with any relevant laws.
   
7. Organization and System
   CJL appoints a Personal Information Manager and constructs an information management system to ensure that personal information is handled in an appropriate manner.
   
8. Operation of the Personal Information Protection System
   CJL disseminates this policy throughout the organization through in-house training sessions and publicity and shall ensure the continuation of this system.
